Promotion Number 5!

Well, this is where having a Mary Kay business starts to get really cool...
This past week, I got the most amazing, beautiful, and powerful woman on my team! My fifth recruit is none other than Miss Kree Kenton! She is a fearless lover of God, very driven in what she believes in, and is going to be an incredible addition to my team. Kree is one of my household sisters and I love her dearly. She is a missionary for Dirty Vagabond Ministries up in Rochester, NY and is very excited to build women up in self confidence and truth.

Because she is my number 5, this means that I just gave myself a promotion! This is why having a Mary Kay business is so awesome. With the help of the Lord, I choose when I want to move up in my career and when I want and need a promotion.
You will only know your full potential when you try.

Ears and a mouth

Love this quote from Mary Kay Ash!
"God gave us two ears and only one mouth, so we should listen twice as much as we speak. When you listen, the benefit is twofold: You receive necessary information, and you make the other person feel important."

Every time I am afraid to approach someone who I don't know, I need to remember that it is not about me! Maybe that person really needs someone to just be there and listen, give them the opportunity to feel important and wanted! THIS is true leadership.

Can Money Buy You Happiness?

I found this on one of Mary Kay Co.'s training websites and was so impressed!

"It can buy life insurance.  It can buy a house in a nice neighborhood where you may feel more secure raising your family.  It can buy a good night’s sleep knowing all the bills have been paid.  As tools to achieve independence, security and peace of mind, money can certainly help meet these goals.  But can money really buy happiness?  Probably not -- especially when what it buys does not bring a sense of peace and value into your life.

When you define your values, you’ll begin changing your behavior to align with your values.  Your spending habits change and your priorities fall into place.  You no longer find yourself making impulse purchases that run counter to your values and then leave you wondering, "Why don't I really feel that happy?"

Money comes and goes to keep us moving ahead, but it does not truely fulfill us!
The relationships we build with one another, with our family, and with God are what fullfills us.

Control

Can I first just say how much passion I feel towards my mission and business with Mary Kay Cosmetics!? This has been such a life-changing event for myself and for our family. My husband says he already has noticed a difference in the woman that I am and that I am becoming. I feel as though I am learning how to be a woman of integrity!
Can I also just point out that I am so excited to become a Director!? So much so that sometimes I forget that this will take time. Its like all the excitement of knowing who and where you are supposed to be gets you that "imapatient bug" that wants life to simply fast-forward! But I need to allow God to prepare me for this great step. I need to give Him the control- do the work necessary- but let Him plan my life!

"Any control I have over my own life, my own future is really just an illusion. The reality is I have no control. I have no control over things yet unseen. I have no control to change my past. I have no control over Him. My only recourse is to surrender—to willingly give in and trust that, unlike waving a white flag in the face of the enemy, this surrender can only bring my success, my peace, my salvation."

Coming Back

Ok, so I need to apologize for this very long break in the blogging world. I thought since it has been awhile since I last posted, I would give an update on my business and on life ;)
So, I have been very busy in the last month since I started taking care of this cute little baby girl whom my 10mth old Ella absolutely adores! I watch her about 4 times a week and it keeps us very busy but it has been so good for Ella to learn how to be more independent and share Mommy! 2 weeks ago I achieved my first $1,000 week in sales! It was really incredible because I had so much fun just doing the Mary Kay groove and it came as a pleasant surprise when I found out how successful my week was. Something that I have noticed with my business is that when I really take the time to implement God into my work, business becomes more successful. Go figure!?
Lastly, I would like to share my goal with everyone who actually reads this. I am so excited because by the end of 2010 I will become a Director of Mary Kay Cosmetics! I will be leading a superhero team of women who are all on board with me with the same desires to impact women all over the world with the truth about Beauty!

Trying?

"TRYING is having the intention to fail - take that word out of your vocabulary - say I am going to do it and YOU WILL!"

I am good at saying, yeah, I will try to get better, I will try to so this or that. But Mary Kay Ash had it all right, trying gives you the excuse ahead of time to not acheive and be great.
The source for your needed belief is through the Creator.
"I can do ALL things through CHRIST who strengthens me!"
